Is phonics important for kids?

We all heard the word phonics, so what it is and is it important for kids.. ?

Phonics means understanding the sound of each alphabet, phonics helps us to decode each word into the corresponding sound of each alphabets in the word. It is very important for us to teach our kids the phonic sound, teaching phonics helps kids to read in an early age.. if kids are smooth in phonics then they will b able to decode the word and manage to read the unfamiliar word easily.

Example: cat has three sound

C say k

A say ae

T say t

 

With the help of this phonic sound, kids are able to read the word cat easily.. dont teach

 A for apple, teach

A says ae ,apple,

so make sure to teach your child the phonic sounds while teaching the alphabets.
